Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and tech-savvy E-Learning Content Developer to design, develop, and maintain engaging online courses and educational materials for our e-learning platform. This role is key to expanding Dilulu's reach and impact by providing accessible, high-quality digital learning experiences.

The ideal candidate possesses strong instructional design skills, expertise in e-learning authoring tools, and a passion for making complex topics related to sustainability easy to understand and engaging for diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive and engaging e-learning modules, courses, videos, infographics, and other digital learning assets on topics related to sustainable gardening, composting, natural living, etc.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within Dilulu to gather content and ensure accuracy.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective learning experiences.
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, H5P) to build course content.
  • Create or source relevant multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video) to enhance learning content.
  • Develop assessments, quizzes, and activities to measure learning outcomes.
  • Upload and manage course content on Dilulu's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ensure content is accessible, culturally relevant, and optimized for various devices (desktop, mobile).
  • Update and maintain existing e-learning content based on feedback and evolving best practices.
  • Stay current with trends and technologies in e-learning and instructional design.
  • Provide technical support related to the e-learning platform as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in designing and developing e-learning content, preferably for non-profit or educational organizations.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, H5P). Portfolio required.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle or similar open-source platforms.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
  • Skills in multimedia production (graphic design, audio/video editing) using tools like Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) for web content.
  • Interest in sustainability, gardening, environmental education, or related topics is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
